PAYROLL PERIODS for 2010-2011.

The following is completely tentative and pending MEA and Board approval:

The pay dates for all licensed employees will be according to the attached schedule. The unified calendar payment schedule will start for the 2010-2011 school year with employees from the former traditional calendar schools receiving twelve (12) equal installments with the initial pay date of August 13, 2010. Employees from the former alternative calendar schools will receive thirteen (13) equal installments with the initial pay date on July 20,2010.

  2. Why are licensed employees from the former alternative calendar schools receiving payroll checks over thirteen months? This is to prevent these employees from going without a check in July as we move toward a unified calendar.

  3. Will insurance deductions continue to be taken over ten months? No. In an effort to maintain consistent net pay amounts, insurance deductions will be taken over twelve months.

  4. Will all licensed employees be on the same payroll schedule in 2011-12 following the transition year in 2010-2011? Yes.

  5. Will licensed employees from the former traditional calendar schools receive a payroll check in July 2010? No. These employees will have received a year’s salary on the eleven month payroll schedule currently in place under the dual calendar system.

  6. Will licensed employees from the former traditional calendar schools receive a payroll check in July 2011? Yes. Because this payroll schedule will place these employees on twelve equal installments beginning with August 2010.
